Novenas

Novenas are powerful prayers said for 9 consecutive units of time, usually measured in days. Though, you could say a novena 9 times a day, or for 9 weeks or even 9 months. They are requests to the saints to intercede in prayer to the Lord on our behalf.

These novenas have been compiled and rewritten from those on the internet. In the section under the novena prayers, there is a reference with links provided for you to follow if you would like to look into where we pulled our prayers from.

Are you or a loved one looking for a new career?  Have you been laid off or fired recently? Or do you just feel called to make a change in your work life balance?

If so, this novena will help you find your path.

Have you lost something or someone close to you? Do you grieve that loss? Survivors guilt and 'what if's' can weigh you down. Let Our Lady of Sorrows lift you up in peace.

Have you or someone you know been diagnosed with cancer? This is novena is a prayer for hope in the face of that diagnosis. It's a fight for life, but also a prayer of acceptance and trust in God's plan for our lives.

So many of us have to pinch our pennies. Bills pile up, and income sometimes isn't enough to make ends meet. This is not a request to become rich, but to be able to provide for yourself and family through work and effort. This novena is for wisdom with finances and for help with debts owed.

The Earth is a battleground and often times this world is not a safe haven. We look to God to be our shield and refuge in our times of need. For times when you or a loved one need divine protection, pray this novena.

Has God blessed you recently? Do you feel the need to acknowledge his generosity and answered prayers? Offer Him your thanks by saying this novena.

Our Catholic Church depends on those willing to answer the calling to service. We need those who will tend His flock. But sadly not enough say, "Here I am Lord." This novena is a prayer for more to say, "Yes" when God calls.

Do you or someone you know need healing? Healing comes in several forms.  In this world, such things as illness and weakness are a reality. Pray this novena for comfort and restoration of the body, mind and spirit.

Insecurity, fear, anxiety, and depression are all not from God. Many of us become overwhelmed with what life throws at us. Hiding and avoidance just push the problems down, but don't deal with them. Trust in the Lord to help you with your burdens by praying this novena.

Going from one place to another can be a dangerous activity. When you walk out your door to your next journey or adventure, don't forget to pray this novena beforehand.
