Novena for Finances

Lord, you assure me that even the very hairs on my head are numbered (Matthew 10:30). You are with me and always take care of me in my joys, sufferings, and challenges. You will not abandon or forsake me, for You are a good Father. I bring the stress and worry I have about financial difficulties in my life and surrender it entirely to You.

Many people struggle financially in our fallen world. Though money is not nearly as important as spiritual wealth, there are many instances where we are in need of Your help in our finances. You can provide the assistance needed for all who struggle with debt.

​

Please assist me in getting out of debt. Help me to always turn to You for help in all of my needs. Give me the grace to rely more fully on You each day of my life.

​

Because of my need for financial help, I have so much fear about the future. I don’t know how my situation will turn out. Help me to lean not on my own understanding but to place my hope in You. Help me to entrust my fears and my future to You, and move forward with hope that You will provide me with the grace to endure and persevere whatever happens to me. 

​

Dear Lord, I thank You for giving us St. Matthew as an example of holiness. Help me to imitate the devotion to You he showed, from the time he chose to leave his old life behind and follow You. St. Matthew, you worked with the Roman authorities to collect taxes from the Jews. When Jesus called you to come follow Him, you immediately left behind everything in order to do so.

Most Holy Apostle St. Jude Thaddeus, faithful servant and friend of Jesus, the name of the traitor who delivered your beloved Master into the hands of the enemies has caused you to be forgotten by many, but the Church honors and invokes you universally as the patron of hopeless cases and of things despaired of. 

​

Today I turn to you with great faith to ask for your generous assistance for I am afflicted and tormented by the lack of economic means. Make it so that I can obtain urgently, needed cash to meet all my expenses, payments, debts, and have peace of mind and tranquility.

​

St. Matthew, you became one of Jesus’ closest friends and followers. You continued on the path of holy service to God throughout the rest of your life. Pray for me, that I may always be ready and willing to follow Christ wherever He calls me. Pray that I may seek to serve God wholeheartedly each day of my life. Please bring my petitions before Christ Whom you chose to follow.

St. Jude – apostle, martyr and friend of Jesus, today I ask that you pray for me and my intentions! You are the patron of the impossible. St. Jude, pray that God’s grace and mercy will cover my intentions. Pray for the impossible if it is God’s will. Pray that I may have the grace to accept God’s holy will even if it is painful and difficult for me.

I, humbly, prostrated before you, I ask by the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary, that you cast me a compassionate glance and despise not my heartfelt prayer, so my confidence be not in vain. Pray for me so that, assisted by your precious intercession, I may receive a prompt and efficacious solution for my overwhelming needs. Obtain for me by the grace of the Lord Jesus, Mary and Joseph, deliverance, prosperity, work and health; make it so that well-being is installed in my home.

Make it so, I beg you, with the certainty of being heard, that I obtain what I need so much: (State your petitions here).

St. Matthew and St. Jude, you loved our Lord, help me to love Him more. Pray for me that I may grow in faith, hope and love and in the grace of Jesus Christ. Pray for these intentions, but most of all pray that I may join you in heaven with God for all eternity.
